The Summer Place held a special benefit concert
reviewing musical selections from many of the shows
the theatre company has done over the years. Accompanying this gala event was a silent auction and savory appetizers and desserts provided by fabulous Naperville chefs.

“THIS IS THE MOMENT”, celebrated 40 years of live theatre in Naperville. The benefit was held April 1, 2006, 6:30pm at the Naperville Central Little Theatre and began with a silent auction and refreshments.

Twenty of the most talented Chicagoland performers, who have been a part of Summer Place Theatre’s past 40 years, performed a two-hour concert featuring favorite selections from many of our past performances.

Performers included Amy Arbizzani of Chicago, Steve Calzaretta of Rolling Meadows, Laurie Edwalds of West Chicago, Jim Heatherly of Bloomingdale, Elizabeth Lanza of Bloomington, Timothy Mullen of Hinsdale, Olivia Palak of Lisle, Joseph Tokarz of Oak Park, Steve Zeidler of Lombard, Marie Svejda-Groh, Jason Groh, and Heather Hutchison of Aurora, and Matt Colbert, Cynthia Hartigan, Ken Kaden, Cynthia Lauren Grant, Paul Mullen, Jon Stricker, Kaitlin Tunney, Jeff Victor, and Matt Whalen of Naperville.

The program was directed by Timothy Mullen, Heather Hutchison, and Marie Svejda-Groh and produced by Lynn Hodak and Judy DiVita.

Tickets for the benefit were $50 and only 230 tickets were available. The theatre is located on Porter Street west of Washington in Naperville, just south of Naper Settlement. See a map here.
